Hi was just wondering if anyone could help?
Just recently had a reco motor installed in my GTI LEFRI by a dealership (cost a bomb) and was told to return it for a service after 10 hrs run in time. I was told that the oil injection was turn up for this period so it would have to be turned down at the service.
I was unable to take it back to that dealer as I am away on holidays so took I to a dealer were we are. After the service was done I asked if the oil injection had been turned down and was told in short that it cant be changed.

Can anyone out there enlighten me as to who is telling me the truth?

Cheers

It can be changed... but it's not supposed to be.

Honestly... if you had a dealer tell you that you must come back after 10 hours... and they are charging you for the "10 hr" service... they are just making more $$$ off of you.

Whenever I replace an engine at my shop... I tell the customer to call me if they have problems, and that's it. (no extra visits)
