Sorry for everyone that's been helping with this on facebook but want more people to pitch in. I have a 1996 GSX 787 that will not pump water. I figured there was a clog somewhere so i cleaned all passages, replaced all cooling hoses, and went through the pump to make sure everything was clear, it was. When running on the hose it squirts water out the pisser and runs cool just like it should. When I pull the main water inlet hose in the water and run it it doesn't squirt any water. No cracks in pump anywhere. Any help greatly appreciated.

So you're not getting any water out of the pump? Should be an easy fix, pull the pump there's about a 4" tube at the top of the pump near the bailing tube connections, check to see if it's blocked and check the seal from this tube to the inlet hose.

If the impeller is turning and there are no blockages I don't know why you're not getting water. Let's get an expert racerxxx

I will take pictures. When the 2 hoses going to the head are removed and I start the machine in water no water comes out either one but I can spray water down them and see that they are clear.

Is the seal on the face of the pump that seals the water inlet to the plastic pump support? It's shaped like a top hat with a hole in the center.

That's a valve. I had it on during breakin incase I needed a tow. Cant believe after trying to figure it out for 6 months it's a stupid seal I couldn't see in the diagram.

Got it put together and dropped in the water to test it. I can see water coming through clear hose going to the stinger from waterbox and water was drippling through when I pulled the main hose. My question is am I getting enough water through it. I ran it for 10 minutes and I could touch the exhaust the whole time because it was staying at 120 F the whole time. Problem is it isn't squirting water through the pisser but does when I run it on the hose.

when you run it on the hose it will always piss out a steady stream, nature of the beast. usually at idle on the water it will barely trickle out if at all, check when you are getting some speed behind you. should be pissing then.

It didn't squirt out at any rpm. I just decided to run on the hose again just to see it squirt out and it was slightly bubbling out of the new exhaust gasket and slightly squirting out the pisser. Should there be a seal the along with the gasket?
