Hello everyone! Took the Speedster out today for the 2nd time this season (and total).

My co-captain and navigator fell down on the job.

So we're just putting up the ICW when we see a cabin cruiser bearing down on us. It's a 30 plus footer and he's cooking. As he's closing in, I realize I don't want to hit that wake (4-5 ft) at idle speed or we'll take on water like crazy, I really need to get my bow up. Now. So my wife (who grew up on the water) latches on to our 4 yr old, and I hammer the throttle. Did you know you can completely launch a 150 Speedster out of the water? I didn't either. Holy $&!# what a rush! I might not have believed it but for two guys behind us that pulled along side afterwards to tell me how hot that was. My wife looks at me and says, "can we do that again"? God I love that woman.

So then we proceed to call it a day and head for the house. I had help washing the boat that I wasn't expecting, but who am I to turn it down.

Oh, and the best part of all is I played hooky from work today to take the family out.

Can't wait to do it again.

LOL...did the same last fall!! My wife and I plus our 2 1/2 yr. old son and our 1 1/2 yr old daughter, was heading back to the marina and saw an easily 30-40ft yacht hauling ass so I hammered it and was beside him slowly pulling past...until I had to slow down to get into the marina, I looked back and saw some massive wake so I hammered it again and went over it...felt like we flew for a few seconds with both kids laughing and the wife screaming...!!
