Mrfixitct, I have a handheld Garmin Etrex NIB, that I will sell you for $80. I saw the exact same unit was on sale last week at Bass Pro for $119. I have not even turned it on. Send me a PM if interested.
I use my Garmin 1450 that I use for my job and thought I would use the handheld for the boat, but I just take it in and out of the car. Works fine for me, and it does not have the inland lake software but I can see where I am and where I need to go. You would really need to get the Inland lakes software from Garmin to take full advantage of navigation features while on the water. There is no depth finder with this, but the Lakes software does give a general depth of where you are traveling.
