I signed the petition, not sure if it will carry any weight since I'm not a resident.

....................
or....
to reword the regulation to not exclude pwc's... ie: reword or remove sign.

.......... unfortunately it takes dedication and moxy to overturn regulation 15C section 12 paragraph 5....

See.... that's where my point actually lies. There isn't a state, or "Fish and boat commission" (PFBC) rule/law in place about PWC using the same ramps as a "Boat". SO... the Squrl needs to find out if there is a local law in place. If there isn't... then that sign isn't valid. Just because some local municipality decided to segregate PWC, doesn't mean they actually can.

Also... an officer CAN NOT write you a ticket if they can't site the law you are breaking !!!! (see what I'm saying) So... if there isn't a law on the books, prohibiting you access to that ramp... then you can use it... and tell the local officer to... "insert favorite saying here".

But... if it's a private or semi-private ramp... they can make up any rules they want.

That has never been much of a problem here, actually the closet lake has a separate launch for kayaks, canoes, and pwcs that is far superior to the regular boat launch. The DEC is more concerned with checking and cleaning you craft to slow the spread of zebra mussels and Asian clams.

Doc, while it may not be a law, the real problem is mob justice. The hot heads who think they need to 'help' enforce the rules by yelling, swearing, and yes, even throwing things at my wife and I. I can't leave my car and or trailer alone with these people.

I'll call the fish commish again today and ask if it is 'law'. and since I know it is not, to have the signs removed due to people acting in ways listed above.

I do not want revenge or to get back at the boating/fishing types. I only want the signs removed or our ramps improved. This is not an us vs. them. I will not respond to or tolerate any illegal / immoral activities. Please off valid, legal, responsible input.

thank you.

Not kidding about this, but see if you need a permit to set up a tent. You need to stir the pot with their spoon if you know what I mean.

I just signed it. And to be totally honest, I just used a ramp exactly like this in NJ yesterday. If you look close you can see the separations between the concrete blocks.

yes, I see the poor excuse for a ramp, but I'm more interested in the 'dam' looking thing with the middle spill way. Can you rid

To be honest, that kind of ramp doesn't bother me, it actually is very nice. They have stone that fills in the gaps for the most part, perhaps that could be an alternative if you don't have stone in between yours. Stone is dirt cheap, even possible that you pay for it and you ask the town to have the public works employees fill it in(the expensive part). It is still a bit bumpy but I have no fear for breaking a leg or anything like that.

Years ago I used to ride down that wing dam right at the split, then we would turn around and hammer back up but we would break off one to the left and one to the right and actually launch off the wings of the dam, back towards the ramp. It was wicked fun, there is just enough flow going over the dam that you don't hit the hull. Stupid, yes. Fun, hell yes. Would I do it today, yeah that would be NO.

i have a friend i went to school with in pa when we were growing up, i havent seen him in a couple yrs, he was at my mothers funeral, anyways he is pa state representative tim mahoney, http://www.pahouse.com/mahoney/ -- if you email him, ( a nice email ) im sure he will tell you your rights at that boat ramp, and if you print his email out in response, im sure it will shut up and park ranger or small town sheriff ...he works hard for a lot of people in pa -- hunters, fishing, etc... cause he is a hunter
