Sorry to hear about all the flooded SeaDoo's. Not nice to find your boat submerged at the dock.
However, i do dock my Speedster all summer and i sleep well at night as well.
The reason for my good sleep are tree keywords.
Good maintenance, insurence and additional bilge pump.
Every week-end when i visit my cottage where the boat are located, i always take a look in the engine compartment to check the oil/coolant level. At the same time i check if i can see any leakage or abnormal water level in the bilge.
As it is docked all summer i have also installed an additional bilge pump of good quality. I have used Whale Supersub Smart 650, who fits nicely in the bottom of the bilge on the starboard side of the engine.
The Whale pump has en electronic water sensor that is fool proof.
With my current 70AH battery, the pump can run for approx. 16 hours and pump out 3200 liters before draining the battery, so it should be sufficient.
Hopefully to avoid it to happen, that i get that kind of leakage that cannot be managed by the pumps, i hopefully should have observed an increased leakage earlier on when checking the engine compartment.
At last, i also have a good insurance if the shit should happend.
