Gasket kit

Hello,

I need to rebuild the engine of my rxt215 but I'm not decided about gasket kit. As I need to open the engine (it has milky oil since 6 moths at least) I put all gasket news. I have seen some aftermarket kits, like wsm,gasket technology, and other brands. I think that for all gaskets is no problem to put a aftermarket gasket. But what abaout head gasket? Which is the reliability of this makers? And the valve gaskets are good?

I'm looking for a complete gasket kit without head gasket to buy oem, but as I'm not find any kit, I'm thinking to put also the aftermarket head gasket included on all kit.

What do you think?

I have always had good luck with the WSM gasket kits. I don't like SBT, Wonderosa or the other aftermarket kits.

PWC Muscle here can get you great prices on the WSM kits.

Are you certain its a head gasket?
Mine got the milky oil when my intercooler started leaking water into the intake.

About 3 oil changes after the replacement and I am once again riding like I stole it.

thanks both for responses.

CanAmFlyer, I think that the problem was that oil cooler has a leak, and and through this has mixed oil and water. The mixed has been inside the engine for a months (at least since last summer) and is a very thick mixture and I'm worried about oil pipes be clogged. So I decided to open all the engine to clean it very well. Also, the exhaust valves are bad references and I will replace for a supertech valves (exhaust and intake). This weekend I will put some photos of the oil mixture.

Mikidymac, have you good experience with wsm gaskets on a 4tec engines? My worries are about head gasket and valve seals. I think that other gasket/o'rings aren't a lot difference with oem or aftermarket.

Contact @hfgreg they sell WSM and do a lot of work on the 4 strokes, he would know the quality as I only use the 2-stroke kits.

My first 4 tec 215 was all wsm. Pistons gasket kit oil pumps etc. 80 hrs on it so far, no issues. But follow factory torques and stretch bolt angles and your good.
