gas float don't float

hello everybody!!

i am new on the forum i hope somebody can help me!! i have a speedster from 97 and the gas floater don"'t float on gas anymore (it wil on water) so i neet a new one i call the dealer (i am from holland) and he tell me to bay a hole new pipe for 300 euro!!!!!!! and everything work perfect only the floater don't float on gas so the onlything i neet is a new floater but were can i find one??????

I just baught one off ebay last week, installed it Friday, and it works great. $20 shipped to my door.

Look up Sea Doo Fuel Baffle Float Repair Kit or something like that.

I have one that floats, but the sender is bad.

Maybe somebody else has a floater that floats, and a bad sending unit. Maybe they could send you the floater out of the old unit, when they put the new one on.

I just had mine out, and my sender is bad. I ain't going to spend 70 bucks though for a new one! I will wait and maybe find a parts ski, to salvage parts from.

search for gas gauge and you will find the answer in this forum to repair the sendor. The float has to be replaced for $15.

Several years ago companies made gas tank floats out of cork and caoted them with shellac to seal them. You might be able to seal your old one with shellac and get more use out of it that way.
