Why are thinking about buying one of these? What are the symptoms of your engine? Probably a Merc dealer. Please let me know if you find a good online link. I have a surging high rev issue and this might be the culprit for me as well. I also have a 2003 Merc 240 V6 EFI

Well, I bought my speedster knowing it doesn’t run, long story short, the regulator was installed crooked and stem was bent, thus not being able to open. Quantum fuel systems list one for $50, says it replaces OEM #883257t1, which is what I need. When I received it, it was totally wrong. They are refunding me. Needles to say the only one I can find now is dealer,…$250.00. Crazy for such a small inexpensive part. They got me by the “short hairs”!

Heres a link for a little less $$$. Walmart

Yes very simple. Just two philips head screws hold it in place. Remove screws and hose and pull it right out. If you install a new one, be sure to put a little lube on o-rings.

I spent a couple of hours (I know- get a life) looking on RockAuto.com for fuel pressure regulators. There are may that are close (by appearance only). But they never specify what pressure they are set to. The highest price was about $50. This was about 6 months ago.

I also looked on ebay. There are MANY adjustable regulators. I found a suitable one for about $35. 3 feet of hose and about an hour. Turn key on and adjust pressure and lock it down. (My system pressure was stuck at 85psi due to a bad regulator.)
