Hi Every One,

I am trying to finish up on my projects for my seadoos before the start of the season here in Michigan, can anyone give me a suggestion on which fuel lines to purchase for a 97 XP and 97 GSX from everything I hear and read it is not wise to continue riding with the old grey oem lines still installed. Keep in mind I am just looking for something that work well but not overly expensive or colorful.

Thanks:)

Simple and cheap!

I got a simple solution for you. It's the same solution I used. Get a piece of your fuel line you want to replace (I think it's 1/4" ID) and carry it up to your local "Autozone" or any other automotive parts house and ask them for fuel line of the same size.
Fuel line isn't a specialty item. Neither is your water hose. If it's showing signs of aging, buy a foot or so of 1/2" to replace the piece between your heads and your exhaust. That's the piece that usually gets hot and stiffens up on you............so, there is a cheap fix in something on these things!..

Thanks for the quick response seadoosnipe, I will take a piece off and run it up to my auto store. How much should I buy for both craft and should the old clamps still be ok or should i replace them with new ones or you zip ties?

Thanks Again

I would recommend you use new stainless steel clamps. Zip ties work good on small 1/4" carb lines, but not on water or gas lines.

New fuel lines....

I bought new clamps with my new lines because it's really important to make sure you get a good seal, so your not taking a chance of vapor locking. As for the amount you need. I have a boat, so I'm not to sure on your PWC.....but I could suggest you take a tape measure and do a rough measure to get close, then add a couple more inches to be sure. It's really pretty cheap.
Good luck, let me know if you need anything else...........
