Fuel lines on a 96 seadoo xp...Need help!!!

I replaced the fuel lines to get rid of them grey tempos. Everything ran fine before hand. After replacing all fuel lines, and using twim ski as a guide to double check all locations, now it will not crank over. Seems to almost want to, but wont catch and run on its own. Is there a way these need to be primed? or something in particular to start off doing with new fuel lines? again, ski ran great before doing the lines, and I have a twin ski to use as a reference to rematch all line locations......Advice please!!.

I have been using a brake bleeder connected to the fuel line where it connects to the fuel pump after changing fuel lines to prime and check for air leaks. Check with fuel selector in all 3 positions. I do not see that this is required, just something that I do so I do not need the starter to be grinding away too long.

I just acquired a 96 XP so am just starting through this fuel line and carb cleaning process myself. It is also recommended to add an additional fuel filter just before the carb/fuel pump; standard automotive clear with either 1/4 or 5/16 connections (easy to push the 1/4 inch fuel onto the 5/16 barb on the filter.

I know you may have it on already, but sometimes you can get caught up and forget to turn the selector on. It has happened to me when I am so caught up with in-depth diag you forget the simple things!

PS: Double check that the black o-ring is in the fuel/water seperator filter assembly beneath handlebars. Mine fell out upon re-installation. It missing will cause fuel pump to suck air into lines.

believe it or not...the starter also sounded clunky...After looking around...noticed the neg cable on the battery was loose....problem solved...back.up and running!
