Fuel issue at startups

Ok, so this year I replaced my fuel lines on the a-pump circuit and got most of the bog out of the transition from idle. Changed my fuel selector as I found it was not turning off the fuel. I remembered the last mechanic that rebuilt my carbs mentioning that he adjusted the carbs to try to remove the bog off idle. That turned out to be a clogged a-pump nozzle. So I decided to check the low speed adjustments and set them back to factory specs (1 turn for my model). I found them at about 1.5 turns out. Everything runs great now except for it seems like there is air in the fuel system each time I start it. Once I get it cranked (might have to use choke sometimes) and cleared out it runs great. When I come back to idle. It idles great for a few and then the idle lowers but stays smooth for a minute or so. Then it starts to get a little ruff again until I come off idle and clear it out. Any ideas what this could be ? Bad check valve in carb(s)? Leaking needle/seat?

Addendum: if I cut it off after riding. It will fire right back up and then stall off unless I apply the choke Then it will come back for a couple seconds and stall again unless I then reapply the choke again and so on. If I pull the choke every few seconds it will remain running.

Anybody have any input? Also can someone confirm the low speed carb setting on the 97 XP? My manual shows 1 turn but seadoosource.com shows 1 3/4 turns.
