Fuel injection question.

Hello, My jet ski is fuel injection and has a tank for Fuel And oil apart. My friend put a little bit of oil in my fuel tank, Saying its good for my carbs or something.. Do you think by doing that, I could mess up anything? If so how could i clean it out?

Hi LAZE,
I don't know for sure if it's a good or bad thing for fuel injected engines.
My advice is don't make a habit of it. It probably didn't cause any harm but I'm not so sure it's good for the fuel injection componets(fuel pump, ect). I'd run that tank of gas with the added oil and just not do it again. Also, don't get "additive happy" either. Most of the additives are just a waste of money and may cause more harm than good. I would just add more fuel to dilute the oil added. If it's jut a little bit it shouldn't do any harm...if you talking like 2 Oz's to the tank full. The worst think that could happen is maybe fouled plugs.
