has onyone had problems with a digital seadoo gas guage. First time I had it out I went til it showed only two bars, and i went to fill it up and it only took 8 gallons I was scratching my head because that should have been a half a tank (15.9 gal. tank). Snoopie I need some of your infinite wisdom could you help me on this. I think im gonna have to take it back and get it fixed, that would 2 hours on the ski and 2 problems I'm averaging a problem an hour so far. Luckily (knock on wood) nothing serious. The first issue was the hose issue that has been going on with the skis when the hose popped off. That was exciting.

I would check the connection on the fuel tank where it connects together. I have a similar problem on my new 200 speedster...warranty back to the dealer. I have twin 4-tec's so I switched the tank senders (2) to the other one, till it goes in for warranty work.

Hopefully it's not a bad fuel sending unit because I just had my replaced at $250 on one of my skis. Yeah I could've done it myself and saved some money, but sometimes you just don't feel like messing with it.

How do I remove fuel sending unit on 1996 GSX ?

How do I remove fuel sending unit on 1996 GSX ? I went to a shop and the mechanic said that you have to pull the engine. There has to be a better way to replace the fuel sending unit. Any ideas?

I have done a 1996 GTI, 1999 GTI both were simple.

Get the seadoo as close to empty as you can.
Pull the front storage box.

There are 4 hose going into the sender. (draw a picture for when it is time to reconnect, also a good idea to examine the new sending unit to understand the hoses and what they do) Disconnect them. Take note of the odd fuel line size and the clamps are not reuseable.

Unstrap the tank and slide it forward

Unplug wire and unclamp the sender and remove (take note of the oriantation for ease of hooking up the hoses)

Reverse procedure

This worked on both GTIs the senders shot the hell out of a $150 bill I dont know if the GSX is the same.
