Where is the fuse? My gauge reads E all the time.

Other than cleaning up the grounds and trying to find the fuse what could it be?

I am guessing the fuse is one I have looked at. I do get the low oil light to light in the same gauge. Different line? Could the ground be good?

Don.

Does it read anything when engine running and you tap on the gauge a few times....if not, I'm about 99% sure it is the fuse (low oil light works independantly). It is fairly easy to do and there are some very good threads showing step by step. Just do a good search and you'll find it. The fuse is located near the top of the fuel baffle.

Yeah it has been discussed numerous times. Try a search. there was a member who even managed to take xrays and made an awesome writeup. If we can come across that one again it would be good to sticky it.

Thanks so so much again guys.

Don.

EDIT: ya the gauge is totally flat lining 100% of the time.

I would first check to ensure the float is still in the baffle. It frequently, at least on my two SPX 657X, falls out when the bottom cover come loose and ends up on the bottom of fuel tank. You will see fixes for that also when you search.
