I have a 2006 Sportster 4-tech 215 HP. My problem is that the fuel gauge is always showing "full" when it is not. Is frozen in the "full" position. This is a little different situation than explained in here before, where shows empty when the tank is full. So some of you in here disconnect the gauge from the baffle, short the gauge with a wire and if the needle moves to full the gauge is in working condition, the problem is the baffle. By reading those posts in here I'm assuming that my problem is the gauge and not the baffle. Am I correct or not? Or should I disconnect the gauge from the baffle first, to see if it ramains frozen in the "full" position? I like to know before I spend the money on getting a new gauge. Please let me know.
