Frustrated??? The Venting Thread

I feel your pain. I've wanted to use all my ski's for target practice a time or two. The worst being the 98 RFI I had. That thing was cursed!

I have a 97 GTI that I recently obtained. Said it was a bad mpem. Did the diode fix thinking thats all it was because a "mechanic" checked it out... I did the diodefix and it got beeps and everything. Thought I was good to go. Now, after a few cranks, I get no beeps, no power, no gauges, no nothin... but if I come back in the morning and try the lanyard... "Beep-beep"...

Rinse and repeat...

I havent even been able to ride this thing yet...

Great Idea for a thread!! I bought a 07' speedster wake earlier this year ... rebuilt the superchargers. After about 10-15hrs on the boat after rebuild one of the blowers blew apart!! Taking the magneto housing cover with it!!

Check out these pics!!

Had to literally pull the engine apart to clean all the metal shavings ... Since then its been a problem free rig .... thank god!

Mag Cover cracked ...

What a GREAT freakin thread!!!. AND only one guy didn git it. There have been so many 'moments' in my time as an owner ISTG the Marx Bros. themselves are writing the script. Two thoughts come to mind

1. Dont let the highs get too high, nor the lows get too low

2. If ya cant laugh at yourself, ya cant laugh at nobody else.

Still waiting for...yes more parts, ugh. But on the plus side the 'good' ski rides like a champ! Then I get to tackle that crazy trailer I got with the deal. Rear marker lights are all screwed...tongue weight is whacked and the jack died after one trip to the beach. That puppy is coming off if I ever launch in salt water again.

Kevin

Oh my God! I hate a jack leg mechanic! So I got my part in an the jack*ss that has been working on these is really pissing me off. He just hacked out the 5A fuse next to the starter relay and dry spliced crap left and right; drilled a hole in the box as a drain for one of them and just put the seal in the bottom under everything on the other one. aarrrrg!

Yep, if your start relay stays submerged long enough it will rot from the electrolysis. Rubber seals in selector valves will crumble eventually, so once again....waiting on parts. Guess I'll pull the carb just for the practice while I wait.

I pi$$ed away over $5,000 in a ski before realizing the jets in the carbs were never right.... took me THREE years to figure that one out. Mostly because I trusted someone else to look at the carbs.

i listened to this guy piss and moan about his ski for 3 years, threw tons of money at it, and it turned out to be his carbs. It was awful ! :)

Well hopefully I won't burn any up chasing the same rabbit...or squirrel. Now go break something ridin' that beast, Sqrl!

Maybe I could do that with my camper, blame it on a gas leak and get a pay off check from the insurance co. I don't even think I would regret it at all.

we went to havasu for a week, killed both skis in 5 hours, one lost a hi speed mixture screw, the other blew apart the water regulator, melted the exhaust,if its not 1 thing its 20 with these things.the 5 hours was great though!!

This isn't a rant about boats or PWCs, just a inconsiderate "beach".

We went to the DQ (M59/Teggerdine) on the free cone day for charity, on the way back from doing errands. We parked next to a Handicap spot, then a lady with 2 boys park there and get out. I looked for a plate or sticker but didn't see one. So as I walk past the handicap sign post I tapped it and said this is a spot for the handicap...she glared back at me ...I said I don't see a sticker. We go thru the doors first but she walks faster around a table to beat us to the counter. She never said a word to me. She bought some funny looking cones with faces on them for the 2 boys...she broke a 20 got the change and walked out. What would you call her???? She didn't donate either.

I have a perfect way to vent, this is a great stress reliever

I do not think insurance would cover this lol.
All of our parts machines get this treatment. We can completely crush a hull and have it in the dumpster in 12 minutes

This isn't directly related to me nor this thread I suppose but I have a buddy that's doing a re-install on behalf of a dealership as the dealership is trying to minimize the cost of helping out a jerk customer. It's just too expensive to run the cost of the reinstall for an older 2 stroke thru their shop. Anyhow this machine really needs a new starter as the old one is barely functioning. This cost would have to be borne by the owner. If this was done the machine would be in perfect shape. On contacting the owner he refused to replace it and said to "just get it to start. I'm selling it to a guy".

*that* just ticks me off.....:cuss::cuss:

at the end of putting the 717 engine in the ski,,almost the very last thing is to clamp the xhaust together. i cannot finf the frikken nut for the clamp that holds the pipe together.if i cant find the correct size n thread nut in town,i have to drive 65 miles to get a clamp tomoro. cant believe i misplaced that nut,

i'm pissed that my wife is trying to make me go line dancing tonight... and she's pissed that i'm trying to get her to go kayaking...

i'm going to have to pretend to turn my ankle around lunchtime

I don't think she will believe you. If you try faking it then she might break something else on you!! :)

My wife and I aren't speaking today. She wanted to drive two hours to go to the nearest camping supply super store. We don't need anything, she just wants to see what they have. As I'm getting ready, she informs me that her mother is coming along. I would rather have a rectal exam than spend that much time with the mother-in-law. I decided to find something better to do. I'm going fishing.
