Well, I got a call from a friend who has an Kawak and could not get the thing to start. The ski ran fine all summer last year, and he took it to a local shop to have it professionally winterized. He has been working on this stupid thing for almost two weeks, and said that the motor turns but would not fire. Sounds very familiar, since I am going through the same thing with my XP right now. I tried to give him as many suggestions to help him out, but being almost two hours away I could not go over there to help him. He said he was getting spark and that even though the motor was cold he compression tested the mill at 150-160 psi on all cylinders. Sounded like fuel to me. He pulled the carbs, cleaned everything out, cleaned out the lines, etc. Still nothing. Then I suggested that possibly the shop didn't stabilize the fuel. He swore that they did. Well, I finally drove the 1 hour and 45 minute drive to his house today to help him figure it out. When I arrived this morning the hood was open and he had the plugs out. Sure enough, the plugs were firing hot, and he had good compression. We put the plugs back into the motor and put the boots on. I tried to start the motor and it did not sound like it was getting fuel at all. When I looked down I could not believe what I saw! I took a deep breath, calmed down (after making the drive JUST to help Josh out with the ski), and asked him how long the fuel shut off switch was switched to the "off" position! He replied "Uh, fuel swi... OH CRAP!". Turned the switch, chugged the starter button about three seconds, and VAROOOOOMMMM!!!!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl My friend is a MORON!

nice, 2 weeks wasted, 4 hours of your time wasted.... i hope he paid for lunch and the beer
