Those will clean up no problem but I am with you and wouldn't touch them till I had a title.

Figured out the Seadoo GSX is for sure a 99 and the Kawasaki STX is a 97. So the GSX is RFI and the STX is before DI was introduced.

Are there any major issue that I should be weary of for the RFI GSX. I am going to start putting together a budget for the skis since I am getting the titles next week. Just trying to figure out anything I should look into that may need replacing or fixed.

I don't know if I will need it or not but who is a good company that you can do a core exchange for a refurbished engine. I have heard a lot of bad about SBT on here and was wondering if there are other options. I can most likely do my own rebuild if needed but would rather do a refurb swap and spend more time on getting these skis cleaned up and put back together then building engines.

FullBore is good and reliable. SES can take months and break promised deadlines and SBT as you have said is questionable on their quality.

Full Bore seems to be the way I would go. I put a spare battery in the Kawi STX and it cranks over nicely. I still need to check the compression but everything seemed good. I'm not able to do anything with the GSX until I get the DESS programed to the MPEM. By the way Ankeneyou I have a spare DESS key from my 97 XP that we can use to program once I get the title situation in order.

As an FYI, you can do a compression check on the GSX by jumping the starter solenoid. That will at least get you some data on the motor. (sorry, I didnt read this thread through so you may have aleady done it)
