Just wondering if anybody can tell me if it is nessceary to flush my seadoo sporster 4tec everytime I use it. It gets used mainly in salt water. If so would it be alright to leave a quick connect end screwed into the flush pipe for the garden hose or will it restrict water flow some how?

Randy

Randy, what year is you sportster? I would recommend you flush it every time. If it is a new model with Inter-looping cooling than you only need to run it for less than 30 seconds to flush the exhaust out. If it a older model, than you can run it for up to 5 minutes to flush the cooling system out. Yes, you can use an adapter to do a quick connect on the flush point on the rear of the seadoo. You can purchase one from seadoo or try Walmarts for couple dollars.

I guess i forgot to say it is a 2003 with the closed loop cooling system. So can i leave the quick connect screwed in all the time, its just a real bugger of a place to reach up in there every time to screw the hose in.

THANKS

Yes Randy, I got 2 fittings from my seadoo dealer and one quick connect to use on the hose. It is a great fit and is real quick to flush the exhaust out. I also shoot lots of wd-40 into the jet pumps to keep everything coated against the salt water.

Thanks alot for the info.Another thing i was wondering is,is there anay seadoo junk yards where i might find a towing tower to fit my sportster,a new one is a little on the expensive side.I could build one but it wouldnt be as nice as a factory built one.
