Alright I'm new to owning and maintenance of a pwc I have been on friends and stuff but I just bought one for my self. Its a 97 seadoo spx. Alright the guy I bought it from said it needs a mpem. He said one day he went out to the jetski and it didn't start and threw a code and he looked it up and it was a mpem so ok. I'm sure hes right in that it needs that. Ok so with that said what else should I do. The battery's dead so what type and what brand should I get and also what other maintenance should I do before taking this out. Also I was looking up since the mpem holds the keys programed is there a way for me to program the keys or do I have to bring it some where? But what I'm really concerned about is what other maintenance I should do before taking it out since its been sitting for a year.
