OK guys... I know you probably think that I just live in the water... but this spring... I took on too much work, and it's been Nutz. Every time I think I'm going to dig out... I get new stuff coming in. Then... on the one weekend I thought I was going to get out... the weather sucked.
Well... yesterday, I got out with the Fam for the first time this year. The weather was great. It was a little hot, but the water was nice and cool. I invited my Brother and his kid to come out... but he couldn't make it. But, my nephew and his girl friend came along. They have only been dating for a few months, but she turned out to be a help. She played with my kids, and even wound up ropes without being asked.
My 2 year old gave me the shock of the day. She didn't want to put on her life jacket... but after all the "Big Kids" were in the water... she decided to put it on. Then... it was a little back and forth, if she wanted to be in the lake water. But, by the end of the day... she didn't want out, and she was even taking some strokes on her own. She would slide off the boat, and hold my leg. Then she would paddle over to the swim ladder, and climb out.
The Big Islandia is nice to have friends and family on. There is so much room, that there was never a shortage of space. And the big 198mm pump, with 240 HP really makes that big boat move. With the top up, and 6 people on board... we saw 47 MPH on the GPS !!
Here's some pics of the day. Enjoy.
