You guys gotta stop selling crack, cause all this fun is getting expensive.
Phase I upgrades 1st Season:
1) HTurf: First and perhaps best upgrade for the money.
2) Hawkeye Depth Finder: Must have, keeps Helmsman alert – thanks KK for your thread. Also see the Norcross website.
3) Stereo: Indulged with Alpine 118M, 4 Infinity Marine 6.5” speakers, wireless remote. Head unit controls USB-wired Ipod with big screen menus. Sounds great as-is with plenty of clean sound at all but WOT, as even the 6.5’s produce nice base with the hull acting as enclosure. Further add ons would simply be to blow everyone everyone else outta the water. Thanks Sako, Fearthisinc, RFoster, others.
4) Keelguard: Simple add provides peace of mind and encourages gentle nose-up beaching.
5) Fulton Swing-Away Bracket: She’ll now stow in the garage instead of wintering outside in sub zero temps. Provides for comfortable winter UGI projects, HA!
6) LED Courtesy Bulbs: Cool , cheap, easy install. May not need extra LED cabin strings, but will definitely convert nav lites to LED. Thanks Timhood, Tresvatos, Phildoo, Woosab, RF.
Likely Phase II UGI’s:
1) Upgrade ’04 S200 Plastic Pumps: Not sure on this one, but may help mitigate some cavitation while pulling up slalom. Any suggestions?
2) Dual Batteries, Switch and On-board Tender: IMO all boats should have these. Thanks RF.
3) Stainless Ski Pylon: Replace gumby stock pylon, courtesy of Scoop’s Blacksmithing.
4) Replace Exhaust Muffler: Patched a wear-hole in the port side muffler, may just replace
5) SAT Radio: Planned on this with SAT ready receiver upgrade. Already an XM subscriber with modular unit, just need to install a wiring harness and antennae.
6)Add 2 Bow Speakers, Sub, Amp: Not necessary, but can see it happening.
7) Pimp My Helm: Trick racing wheel and an ear piercing aooga horn upgrade are tempting, but that would just be shameless and wasteful festooning, no?
Hell, it would be easier to just upgrade to a new boat, and there’s a nagging fear of experiencing major engine, jet or electrical issues and it’ll be heavy reliance on Doc H or SDSnipe.
Nah, so far the S200 is a blast, bonus that it has been reliable and sturdy.
This forum is tremendous, kudos and thanks again.
