Turned out out of stock... DAMN! been looking for it forever... but guess i ll just go with some redneck style which i despite. (no choice here)


Luke-- Have you tested it in the water and the result?

The OEM option is not that great in this case. Quite the opposite in fact. It's the BIGGEST PITA to install. Those ten bolts holding the retaining ring are SUPER hard to take on/off and are a two person job. Even with help, I could not put the top 2 or 3 back in and instead used rivets. It stopped leaking, but not even a year later, the rubber is cracked and ratty again. I bet it would leak now if I had the engine was still running.

Yeah, unfortunately i have to go with that mod since i hate to see my boat lies there n waiting for some funs.

I know nobody wants to do it, but we'd all probably be better off just filling the gap with 30 year silicone. Mine is still holding up, I've been out three times now without problems.
