Ok so I am 4-5 hrs into break in on new engine. It started smoking like a camp fire on initial startup. So I'm thinking RV seal or crank seal. So I let it sit overnight and pulled plugs. Placed a rag over holes and turned it over. To my surprise no oil really came out. (Side note looked like a little condonsation on pto plug. Not milky just a little sweaty) so I reinstalled plugs and started it... smoked like a chimney. Would only hit 5k rpm till it cleaned out it took a good 2 min. Then it smokes normal and Tom's normal. Also I stopped it in the middle of the smoke screen and pulled plugs. They both had fresh oil. I'm not going through my oil tank fast and it seems to be only on startup.

Do you have extra oil in the fuel??

Have you checked the oil pump to make sure the cable didn't pop off?

No extra oil in fuel. Yes I rechecked the pump. Its on and still aliggned. If the RV seal is leaking would it act like this?

Yes... leaky RV or center crank seals will leak oil into the engine, and give smokey start up's.

Was this a full rebuild, or just a topend?

Full rebuild from full bore. If it was center crank seals wouldn't it shoot out plug holes when I removed plugs and spun it over. Nothing came out.
