Hey everybody, I'm looking at purchasing a complete engine rebuild kit from atlantic jet sports that includes New Hot Rod Crankshaft, WSM Pistons, Rings,Circlips, Wrist Pins, Top End Bearings, Complete Gasket Kit (all gaskets, seals and o-rings) & 1211 Crankcase Sealant all for $621.99. Just wondering if the parts hold up as well as OEM or am I better off sending out my crank and getting it rebuilt by rotax-bombardier and using OEM pistion kits. I spun a bearing on my crank so i need it replaced or rebuilt.

You can get a Reman engine at SBT for just a little more with a warranty.

Just swap them out. $845.00

By the time you spend the money on machining the cylinders you could get an SBT engine. I don't want to discourage you from rebuilding the 787 yourself, but SBT is a great option with a warranty. If you put the engine together yourself and it comes undone, the only thing you've gained is experience.

I've heard many horror stories on the SBT engines so I'm not quite sure if I wanna go that route. Are you currently running an SBT engine in your ski? I have do many rebuilds and dirtibikes, and snowmobiles so I am confident I can do the job, plus I got the handy shop manual if I get stuck. I was just wondering if the parts were any good compared to the more expensive OEM parts.

Get the pro-x pistons instead of the wsm, you will be way better off. I have read lots on pistons as I am doing a rebuild right now and they are an excellent oem replacement. I went for wiseco but would have gotten the pro-x if I didn't get them for such a good price.

Go with Pro-X pistons instead of the WSM...they're not very good pistons. And avoid SBT. You're end product will be much better if you are able to rebuild your own motor.

hey kenny, found the rebuild kit on atlanticjetsports.com website. Thanks for all the input guys. I think i'm going to tackle the job myself. I will do some research on the pro-x pistons. I've heard of them, just never bought any. THanks again!

So how was the engine rebuild kit from atlantic jetsports I'm looking to purches a engine rebuild kit I will like to know if it turnd out to be a good kit
