engine not running

i bought this 02 gtx di from my neighbor. it was in his yard and when he put it in the water it sank. went under for idk how long but when he pulled it out he found out that he didn’t put the drain plugs back in. has been sitting for at least 5 years since it went under.

I got it the winter of 2017 and when i got it we shot all of the water out of the cylinders. i replaces the plugs, the electric box in the back, the fuel pump, fresh gas, all new fuses and i have new oil. yesterday i had time to work on it so i wanted to test the spark. i put the plug on the engine to check and when i did that i got a blue white spark. it was very strong. Once i did that the dash lit up with MAINT and i checked my book and it says that it might be the TPS. the only other thing it could be is the battery and it has a new battery. beside the fact the the dash says MAINT i put the plugs in and while feathering the throttle it’s starts up after like 15 attempts. it ran for like 30 seconds and as i let off the throttle to see if it would idle it died. 20 attempt later after taking the plugs out that were covered in oil, and sucking oil out of the cylinders it turned over again for 15 second and then died again. after this time taking the plug out they were good. now it won’t even turn over not even a budge. nothing. we can’t figure it out. still have the MAINT on the dash.. could the oil bad because the cylinders just keep shooting out like chocolate milk. thanks

Best thing I can tell you is that engine is toast.
Might do a compression test just to verify, but more than likely it is done.
Most probably electrical is toast as well from sitting 5 years after sinking.

Your compression isn’t the problem. Your crank is bad because the Water has rusted the bearings from sitting with water. Even if you get it running the rust will act like sandpaper on the bearings and it will throw the crank through the cases. Don’t think about running it like that please.
