In the process of putting my gsx-l, 951 back together.

What is the best approach to tigtening the bolt on the underside of the exhaust manifold? Do the carbs need to be taken out to get in there?

I had to remove my flame arrestor/air box and then the plate for it from the carbs, but the carbs i cannot remember if they had to come off as well, they might I almost want to say that yes I did have to remove the carbs as well. I could not get anything no matter what to fit in there, I even tried a distributor wrench. Please note that it would help alot if you add your ski info to your avatar, we have no clue what year or motor it is.

It's a lot easier to install the pipe before you install the carbs.
