Hello Mates

I'm facing a weird problem in my seadoo speedster 150 , the engine does not run smooth and it is strangulated
i sent to a seadoo dealer as they found the ecu receiving low voltages which is 5 and normally it has to reach 15 , and the problem caused to have check engine alarm and battery alarm . The point of all above is there any other ideas diagnosis you could make out or faced before . Your ideas will be highly appreciated to me .

Thank to all

Bader

What is battery voltage at idle? And revved up? Anything below 10.8 affects the MPEM.

Boat is 2008 model , they did not mention an exact fault as they said
It is only ecu issue , they recommended to replace a new ecu , i think it can be repaired

If the MPEM is RECEIVING low volts, then I question it ONLY being an MPEM issue. I think it is well worth finding out the voltage at the battery at idle and revved up.

It is your money and time. So if you are satisfied with their diagnostics, then go with it.

Still the boat is on checking the matter fact am not convinced with their findings and thats why i came up to have other ideas , and the voltages will be known soon and will let you know the readings , am not in rush though so am taking my time to find the exact problem t

you need to know the fault codes that have occurred or are current, otherwise you just go around in circles guessing at the problems.
as coastiejoe said; find out the battery volts at rest, idle and revving. do some searching on this...........
what hp is the boat?
