well guys, i flushed my boat prior to putting my boat in the water a few weeks ago and i left my hose clamp pincher on the water return (out) of the cylinder head. I only ran the boat for 5 minutes with it pinche off, and my dad ran it for a few minutes also the following weekend. i wasnt around when my dad had the boat out when the hose was pinched off, but i did get a phone call from him when he was running saying it was beeping, same symptoms as when it overheats. so i got out there and i checked things out, seen i left the hose pinched off (dumbass) removed the clamp, and had a real hard time getting that engine to start. eventually it fired up, idled fine and ran good, i ran it for at least a half hour with no problems. should i have any concerns with any engine internal componenets? would the engine have water entry? just asking so i can sleep better at night, at this time the engine runs fine.

Well ... thats what the high temp sensor is for right? As for damage tough to say ... your probably okay, what you could do is a compression test. Thats a sure fire way to find out.
