I'm thinking about buying a jet ski plus generic stator cause I really need to save some cash and it is on 60$ new does anybody have any personal experience with generic stators?

Typically all these discount electronic parts are Chinese junk. There is a reason the price is so low.
You are better off getting a good tested used one from minnetonka4me.

I would NEVER install an aftermarket stator. Way to much work for the likely hood to have to do it again.

Minnetonka4me his business is West Side Powersports actual name is Nick his phone number is on his website

I agree, a good used one from Nick is the best choice, his parts are in top shape.

If you don't know the ski well then make sure to test compression and if possible ride it. Also make sure to test the stator, there might be some other problem like a broken wire or the rectifier might be bad, that's more common.
