Does a 92 GTS need a neoprene seal?

I'm rebuilding the pump on my 92GTS, and was wondering if I need a neoprene ring for it. I did not see it in my seadoo manual, nor did I pull one off when I pulled the pump off. The pump seems to have been sealed by the wear ring lip. I have a new wear ring, and a 140mm neoprene seal, but if I don't need it, I'll just use it on my 96XP's. So what do you guys think?

Yes you should put one on. Originally the pumps were sealed with silicone. BRP later started using neoprene seal to make it much easier to service the pump.
