My oil leak was from the grommet. My local Seadoo shop, Honda East, had the part in stock.
I was reading thru here and saw something about bleeding the lines????
does this need to be done, and if so, how???
DAMN IT!!!!
it want the grommet. it was a cracked line 3 feet from the grommet. just poured in 1/2 gallon of oil to see if the grommet sealed the leak and I watched it just pour out down in the bottom
I think it was a small crack in the line at 1st. then when I pulled on the line to change the grommet, i must of broke it off all the way!!!
Yes... the bleed screw is in the middle/top of the pump.
But... depending on the hose... the bubble may just go back into the tank. Just look once you get it back together.
One thing.... if the hose is split... then give all the other hoses a good tweak to make sure they aren't ready to give up. There's a thread right now in the PWC section about a guy who lost an engine because an injection hose gave up.
I suggest giving them a squeeze and a twist. A good hose will take a lot of twisting. A bad hose will pop as soon as you put some pressure on it.
