I am rebuilding the single carb on my friends 98 GTI 717. I put the gaskets back in the same order that I removed the old ones but someone was already in the carb so I wanted to make sure I was correct.
First rubber gasket, then check valve block, next large O-ring, then the clear film, on top of that the paper like gasket, and last the metal top plate.
