When dropping the cylinders on you skipped the step of temporarily snugging up the exhaust manifold before you torqued the bolts down. Later you could be lucky or not when installing the exhaust manifold if you skip this step. 518 is good, I know Dan at Fullbore uses the crap out of it, but for the case halves I think TB 1184 or similar is a little better product to use.
