What are pins #9 and #16 on the #1 connector?

display on info center went blank

Nevermind. It looks like they are not hooked up on my machine. I asked because on the wiring schematic on the shop manual it says they go to a battery.

I just hooked up the power directly from the battery through the speedometer on the mpem side of the speedo connector and the info center lights up no problem.

There must be a small short in the info center itself.
I bypassed the ground on the speedo and sent the ground directly to the info center and everything went blank. I then reconnected everything back the way it was to try get the info center to at least flash, and nothing. I then put the info center directly to the battery to see if it would work and it fired right up. And then i reconnected the info center back to the mpem without the compass and temp sensor and it now works.
Sound like a faulty info center?
