Had my jet ski in about 2.5 to 3 ft of water at idle when it sounded like it sucked something up into the impellor. I shut it off and tried to reach from wutever might have been stuck but couldn't reach it. I'm new to the PWC thing so my best idea was to turn it back on and let it spit out wutever it was.

It worked but is there something I could have done better or different? I took a look underneith and the impellor looked chipped and the plastic scratched up.

Also I don't know if it's my imagination but it seems as tho it's running 2 or 3 mph slower and a bit rough once it hits 45mph or so.

Is this just in my head?

id not recommend operating ur ski in that shallow of water i wont start mine unless it deeper 4 ft, a few wks ago a guy i was ridin with sucked up a rock and it was on a borrowed ski n cost him about $500 to fix

I always try not to. It was shallower than I thought at that location. It scared the crap out of me when I heard it.
