So now after all the piddly ass non issues that take so much time to diagnosis, she's finally ready to go. OH NO my DESS isn't working, checked all the wires, all the fuses, battery good. I think this speedster is going thru radioactive half-life. Is there a way to bypass, or just get rid of, the DESS????

The DESS really can't be bypassed. The MPEM is looking for the information from the lanyard/key. The magnetic aspect of the DESS can be bypassed, but you will still need to feed the MPEM the info it is looking for..

Crazy, I have 2 keys, one doesn't work so the one I was using must be from a different doo. Just happened to come with the boat and never used it. Changed keys, works fine.
