DESS Post Issue

I'm working at a jetski rental and running into a strange issue. I've read through a lot of the forums discussing DESS post issues but still haven't been able to resolve my problem. To start, the ski is a 2016 gts 4-tec. The ski starts and runs fine but will constantly be reading the key. I've switched out the ecm, post, key, and the wiring harness from the front but still no luck of getting rid of the "reading key" message. The parts were from an identical ski although, I guess they could also be faulty. Any thoughts?

Will any parts from the ‘bad’ ski cause a problem with the good’ ski?

The "good ski" is being used for parts so it's missing a lot of components to make it start in the first place otherwise I would've tried.

When you say reading key all the time, do you mean even when it is off?

If so, have you checked the start button? If it is bad, it can wake up the machine constantly and if the key is on the DESS it will say reading key.
