Crossfire plugs?

Sorry to bring up an old thread...

...but my recent experiences are relevant here.

I used the +4 bosch plugs from a 2002 Mazda protege5 (my NGKs were trashed, and my dad just swapped plugs in his mazda, and the plugs were handy, and fit), and they worked very well. Then this season, I decided to replace them with new plugs, and got the +2 for the same Mazda. They ran WAY too hot, and my engine started to ping.

So listen to these guys...stick with the recommended plugs. I could have really screwed up my engine, and may have only saved it because I am running a little extra oil in the gas on top of the oil injection oil.

Today, I bought 4 of the recommended NGK plugs and will never use anything BUT what is recommended. They recommend them for a reason...I know that now, after the lashing I got from the guys on here for using the wrong plugs and almost screwing up my 'doo.
