Cost for exhaust hose

I'm a newbie to jetski's...... I bought a 99 GTI and smoked really bad and trouble starting. Shop said it was an exhaust hose that melted causing the smoke and starting issue. Does this seem right and how much should it cost to replace? Thanks.

Okay I called the repair shop because it's been sitting there for over a week. Now they tell me seadoo doesn't make the exhaust hose for a 99 GTI. WTF?! The part number they gave me was 274000727. Doesn't sound right to me?

Any help with this is appreciated. Can't I just buy some high temp hose? How hard is it too do myself? They want to charge $300 for the part and labor.

Well I called a couple other places and they say it needs to be ordered so maybe they are correct and they stopped making the exhause hose 274000727.

There has to be a substitute I can use right?

Its wet marine exhaust hose, about 25 a foot for 3" inside dia. Dont know what you need, tho. Just google marine exhaust hose
