During the off season I had to replace the PTO on my 1994 XP. It appears that when I reassembled it I got some sealant in the water supply nipple on the back of the pump assembly that you install from the rear.
When I made my first trip to the water this season the warning beeper sounded a constant beep so I went to the shore to check things out. What I found when I pulled the seat was a lot of steam and a really hot motor and exhaust. It actually melted almost all the small water lines and now I'm not sure what goes where. I pulled the hose from the pump at home after everything cooled off and found it plugged with a ball of silicone sealant so I am pretty confident this is what caused the problem but until I am sure of the correct routing of all the hoses I'm hesitant to take it out.
I have started it for a moment at home to see if it was making any noises that it shouldn't make and it sounded fine so hopefully I have no internal damage from it overheating.
I turned to my aftermarket manual (not oem manual) and none of the pictures show the routing for the 657 engine that is in my 94 XP. Can somebody help me with this? I want to be certain I have everything going to the correct place before I hit the lake again.
