Last weekend I was running my 93 XP 650 and one of the oil lines fell off the motor and smoked the top end. The top end is currently being rebuilt and I am debating converting the ski to run premix instead of oil injection. Has anybody converted there seadoo to run premix? Pros-Cons? Thanks Guys.

This may mis-lead you, but they are the thoughts of an old dude, who loves 2 strokes. They are just my thoughts.

When you run pre-mix, the ratio stays the same, at whatever throttle setting.

When you have a PROPERLY FUNCTIONING oiler system, it changes the ratio (I learned that on this forum) so, you may be running 60:1 at idle, and 30:1 at full throttle. This (in my mind) would keep the spark plugs cleaner, and make for a better overall machine.

I would think that it's overall life span would be better like that.

I think I'm going to agree with Nate on this one. I am in the process of fixing my oil injection system on one of my SPX's and think it will be better in the long run. I hate all the smoke in no wake areas. Looks like your on fire. I put mine in at a dock in Monroe Mi and it has like a 4 mile no wake. it sucks big time. The only down side to oil injection is making sure it is working all the time. Just my two cents.
