ok, so tmrw im puttin the skis in the water! Were gonna ride them around a little, but my 1995 seadoo spi boggs at anything more then half throttle. i kno its the carb, but how do i clean it? can i clean the filters or do i need new ones? plz help me out asap... how long will it take to clean? Do i need any new parts? thx for ur helps guys, i need to get this thing runnin rite by tmrw!

It takes about 2 hours to remove carbs and clean them. You will find that the small filter in the carb is gummed up most likely. I use brake kleen to clean the filter and if you are very carefull taking the carbs apart you should be able to re-use all the gaskets. If you still have the gray fuel lines you should replace them with standard fuel lines you can get from most auto stores. It is also a good idea to clean the fuel selector also as it gets plugged up too.

if you find that it isn't the small filter in the carb try taking the jets out and cleaning them usually with a sewing needle. when you put the carb back in get some seafoam and run just a little bit through and it will help get some of the gum and varnish i ran it though mine and i took the carbs apart to just check the filter just to see what was going on with the insides and the car was spottless no gum no varnish the carbs looked beautiful.

Not really

not really you just unscrew and be careful not lose the spring or the little rings you can use that seafoam to soak the jet in it and should break up some gum or varnish if there is anything in there. it took me about 2 hours to get it all taken apart and reassembled. if you have any questions let me know.

It's a toss up

i would check the filter and run some seafoam throught it and it should be ok you may be able to squeek by becuase that seafoam will clean it and you only need about 5-6oz in the fuel tank.
Seafoam the lazy mans way to clean carbs
