I put the boat (2011 Speedster 150) first time in the water this year and right after 5 minutes the check engine list comes off beeping with code P0544.
I turn the engine off, then restart an can run for long time at below 5000 RPM and the light does not come off. As soon as I go above 5000 the light comes on.
I ride some more then go full speed 6000-7000 RPM for half hour or so and the light does not come on.
Then the light comes back on .. so it's random, but generally if I keep it at low RPM the light does not come on
I have had intake clogged with seaweed many times in the past and the engine would rev up at high RPM and then the temperature warning (High Exhaust Temp) but never had the error code P0544 come up before.
Any clues what this could be??
