:hat:I have been following oil talk on this forum lately and I have another oil brand question. I read that you should not use (tcw lll )oils in 787 rotax carb seadoo engine which is fine and it should be API-TC rated. also that quick silver is approved by seadoo for synthetic and synthetic blend.

At least here in canada mercury now uses "mercury" oil branding ,as far as I have been told by someone I know at a mercury dealership that it is still quick silver oil.
Has any one run mercury oil in seadoo rotax 787 engine .the synthetic blend that I found is called (optimax /dfi) it states on the bottle not for use in engine that require tcw ll .so I am thinking I am going in a good direction on that but it does not state if oil is (api-tc) rated and I am having a hard time to find this info.

it's not the cost for me ,it is easier to get a gallon when you need it from the mercury shop. Also the dealer ship for seadoo are being ******* ******** on top of trying to tell me to run mineral oil even though it says on label of tank synthetic only.

tell them you built motor your self and there someting that happens at dealership here called instan *** hole .

thanks
Randy

I found that same stuff...DFI, which had the "gold" label. Thought same thing, not intended for tcw-3 motors, so, hey, it should work?, BUT, since I couldnt convince myself, i decided to buy the Seadoo Oil..
