Hi All,
MY seadoo has been running fine for a couple of months with alot of help from Tim 75. I put in today boat ran fine for 15 minutes then stopped. I had just filled up with new gas. I took the boat back home and started trouble shooting the problem. Vst was empty when I took the drain plug out. Pump is humming and vibrating. I went to the lift pump when activated it is clicking. Took the hose off the lift pump and the pump is pumping air but no fuel coming through. I took off the hose going to the filter on the other side no fuel coming from there. It seems like it is vapor locked some how. The vent is clear I blew some air in and you can see the bubbles in the tank. is there something inside the tank that would completely stop fuel flow?

Nothing should stop the flow on that tank... unless you dropped a baggy down the fill neck. But more likely that you have a small leak in a clamp, or a split hose. That will keep fuel from being drawn up.

Did you try emptying the water separator filter? Sounds like the cause to me. Saved my boating day two weeks ago after filling up. Easy fix! Good luck!

The lift pump is pushing air but no fuel I will check the lines for a crack

Check the lift pump itself. There are check valves in it that can fail. Have you checked the filter on the lift pump? Spray some WD-40 into the intake of the pump. Put a hose from pump intake into a small container of gas. Put another hose from discharge side back into the container. Turn on the pump. Normally, the lift pump only runs a few seconds.
No flow? Bad pump.
Flow? tank obstruction or air leak.

Replacement pumps can be gotten from Rock Auto. Low pressure (6psi) MARINE fuel pump. About $40, instead of $160 from Merc.
