Carb Pop Off

I reuse those cover o-rings (the pretzel type) all the time, even the used ones usually don't leak but if really old and flatened or rotted then yeah, no good.. Maybe there's something in the o-ring groove causing the leak like a casting bubble or gouge?

And yep, leaking in vicinity of n/s, maybe around the outside of the seat, that outer o-ring there. I guess some oil on that o-ring while inserting the seat can help keep the o-ring from rolling and getting twisted.

I didn't have a chance to dunk it in water today, but I think its going to come down to a bad new oring. I swapped the oring to another carb and now that one leaks and the other doesn't, but the oring itself doesn't have any physical defects. I went ahead and ordered an oring since I was already getting new springs anyway. Hopefully it fixes the problem.

New oring looks like it fixed the slow leak. Now with the new black springs the without the accelerator pumps pop at 38, the two with the accelerator pumps attached now both pop at 45. How do I adjust the arm to drop it to 38? Right now the arm is flush with the body as the manual shows it should be.

A small bend upwards was able to get those to 38. All 38 now and no leaks. Should make a good difference.
