Can anyone tell me what this part is?

We bought a 97 GTX and we don’t know the names of parts to look up and buy what we need. I specifically need to know what the piece that goes under the rave valve cap is. And do I need to have one under each cap? We were working on it and one cap had this piece and the other one didn’t. Here are the pics.

Do both sides need this part? When we bought it only one side had it.

I’m not sure what you mean by both sides. The motor has two RAVE valves. One on each exhaust port. Both should have those parts in them.

That’s what I meant. When we took off the rave valves only one had that part in it.
