Can a low battery be the problem?

Long time fella's, I do have a question. May be dumb but worth asking none the less. I have had some issues with the boat starting as in this thread: http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?49352-Port-Engine-hard-to-start So my question is could this be caused my a run down battery? I'm going to pull the battery tomorrow and take it to get load tested, but the battery is six years old. The battery is located on the port side and this made me think maybe if the battery is low then could this cause the problem in the starboard engine.

I thought Since the issue did not come to light until I stopped and let the boys swim then maybe it could just need a new battery.

Thanks!

A bad battery is always a problem. Especially a 6 year old. Most batteries only last maybe 4-5 years if you are lucky. Marine batteries take a real beating with all the vibration and banging around. Plus, they sit for weeks or months without running and then they are charged. I would replace that battery just on General Principles.
